FEASIBILITY STUDY, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT AND ROUTE ALIGNMENT STUDY OF EKAMAI - RAMINDRA EXPRESSWAY PROJECT

The Expressway under study will start from Atnarong by joining with Bang Na - Port Section of the First Stage Expressway and run northward to terminate at Ramindra Road.  The BMA’s road which will be planned along the expressway of this project will be started from Ekamai road and terminated at Ramindra Road.

The scope of services were divided into two phases :

Phase I :  Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Assessment

Phase II :  Route Alignment Study

The objectives of the feasibility study are :

  • From planning point of view, to determine which expressway configuration to adopt for any given scenario of other expressway development in the Bangkok Region.
  • From engineering, financial, economic and especially socio-environmental points of view, to select which ERE alignment for implementation.
  • On private concession basis, to determine which toll structure and financing scheme to adopt for the return of the investment.

Detailed Description of Actual Services prvoided :

Consulting services include review of existing studies relevant to the project, review of aerial photography and maps, ground control/photo rectification, field verification, topographic and drainage surveys; identification of environmental constraints; geotechnical and material surveys and laboratory testing; study of route alignment and interchanges; study of elevated structure, utilities relocation; toll facilities; lighting design; preliminary cost estimate; estimation of land acquisition and properties compensation; traffic studies, traffic diversion from adjacent roads, traffic forecasts; economic study and sensitivity analysis; financial analysis; Concessionary Study, Investment scheme, reports and Environmental Impact Assessment.
