DETAIL DESIGN OF LOGISTICS SUPPORT LINK ROAD BETWEEN IMS(S) AND WAT SI WARI NOI, SAMUT PRAKAN (LIMS1)

   
   

This is a road project to be implemented in accordance with the Suvarnabhumi Aerotropolis Development Plan as approved by the Cabinet on 11st May 2004.  It is a 6-lane road with 40-m right-of-way width at a length of approximately 8.0 km.  The alignment of the project road starts on the Theppharat-Lat Krabang Road in the eastern part of Lat Krabang District, Bangkok and runs in the southwesterly direction, crossing over the Bangkok-Chonburi Motorway and passing a number of Khlongs (canals) of various widths ranging between 20 and 60 meters.  The project area lies in a low plain with retained water, most of which are fish ponds.  The project route ends at Km 5+350 on Wat Si Wari Noi Road, the location northeast of the Wat Si Wari Noi Road/Bang Na-Trat Highway Intersection.

Detailed Description of Actual Services provided :

The actual services are divided into 2 parts i.e.

Part 1 : Preliminary Survey, Selection of Appropriate Design and Route Alignment

Part 2 : Survey and Detailed Design of the Project Road

Part 1 consists of  the major work items as follows :-

  • Preliminary survey of the project road’s area
  • Preliminary design
  • Traffic survey and traffic volume forecast
  • Public participation of the inhabitants in the area expected to be affected by the project implementation
  • Proposing the appropriate design and route alignment

Part 2 will be proceeded after the DOR’s approval of Part 1, comprising the following main work items :-

  • Final survey
  • Detailed design of roadwork, bridges, interchanges, retaining structures and drainage structures
  • Landscaping
  • Soils and construction materials investigation, study of embankment settlement and testing for load carry capacity of piles
  • Proposing relocation and incorporating design of public utilities
  • Use of computer for design and drawing
  • Design of intersections
  • Preparation of Right-of-Way Plan
  • Estimation of construction Cost
  • Preparation of construction schedule
  • Preparation of bidding documents
