MRT PURPLE LINE PROJECT BANG YAI TO RAT BURANA BANG YAI TO BANG SUE SECTION (BBML)

AEC was attained by the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRT) to undertake the feasibility study and detailed engineering design of the MRT purple line Bang Yai-Rat Burana ( Bang Yai-Bang Sue section).   The rail mass rapid transit system run on viaduct in which its alignment was located mostly along the median or middle of road including a bridge across Chao Phraya River. There were 17 stations of which one of them at Tao Poon was the interchange station, 4 reservation areas for Park and Ride and one depot at Khlong Bang Phai. The rolling stock was heavy rail, as same as The Chaloem Ratcha Mongkol line. Its length was approx. 23 kilometers which passed through notables places the following: Bang Yai, Rattana Tibet road, Phra Nang Klao bridge, Tiwanon road, Nontha Buri intersection, Wong Sawang intersection, Tao Poon and in connection with The Chaloem Ratcha Mongkol line.  Service also included the followings:

  • Review the Existing available data and report.
  • Carry out project feasibility study in detail.
  • Survey and prepare topographic, cadastral and utility maps.
  • Carry out geotechnical investigation.
  • Design of alignment.
  • Carry out detailed design of project components.
  • Prepare Right of Way map and other information for land acquisition proceeding.
  • Prepare design criteria and code of practice in detail.
  • Prepare construction specifications.
  • Prepare project implementation schedule.
  • Estimate the construction cost.
  • Prepare Construction Material Investigation Report.
  • Study and prepare traffic management plan.
  • Prepare tender documents for civil works.
  • Prepare tender documents for M&E works.
  • Prepare conditions and scope of the employment of private sector for railway operation.
  • Clarify the questions arisen during tendering procedure.
  • Prepare contractor prequalification form and evaluation criteria.
